August 1, 2016

In fulfillment of its commitment to boost industrialization and encourage entrepreneurship, the Presidency through the platform of “Aso Villa Demo Day” invited all Nigerians to pitch their innovative business ideas in three central and accessible cities, Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Nigerians turned out in their hundreds armed with promise and determined to pitch their ideas and eventually get the opportunity to pitch their ideas to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Finale.

In each city, we were confronted with the Nigerian spirit of resilience. We heard ideas and solutions for Technology, Agriculture, Communications, Power, Fashion and Entertainment. We were confronted with the fact that Nigerians are in fact a thinking people and it made it even more difficult to cut the ideas to the best thirty.

Peter Agada’s C4ISR infrastructure that has been designed as a surveillance and communication device for our nation’s military or Angela Adelaja’s Fresh Direct, a platform for Nigerian farmers where they take their products to the larger public and also be trained to use technology to sell these farm produce These are some of the ideas/platforms that will be showcasing their products or ideas to President Muhammadu Buhari on the 1st of September, 2016 at the Aso Villa.

Before then, the selected 30 ideas will attend a boot camp to prepare them for the final presentation. In addition, the selected ideas will be attached to mentors.

President Muhammadu Buhari is following through on the promise to pay attention to you and your ideas. It is a revolution of proportions we have never witnessed in this country because by investing in ideas, Nigeria is investing in its future. We urge you to stay with us on the journey.
